Since 2012, EP Sports Consultancy has been delivering Performance Conferences and Workshops for people working and competing in the professional/ elite industry. EP Sports Consultancy is highly focused in empowering athletes, coaches, managers, as well as back room staff such as sports scientists, strength & conditioning coaches, physiotherapists, sports massage therapists, biomechanics coaches, psychologists, nutritionists and more at various levels in sport from amateur and youth academy level to full time professional adults. EP Sports Consultancy Conferences have grown massively from strength to strength in the last year since their beginning.
Therefore, EP Sports Consultancy is dedicated towards generating knowledge from professionals who have applied experience in the sports industry of working with athletes and clubs. Speakers will be discussing topics such as Psychology, Biomechanics, Physiology and Sports Science in elite level football.
With ample opportunity on the day before over breakfast, after during lunch, and tea and coffee breaks between speakers it is a fantastic opportunity to network with like minded professionals and professional Premiership football players who are attending on the day.
All speakers are of the highest standard having had experience of working with athletes and clubs in the likes of professional football and rugby, and full time Elite level Olympic and Commonwealth Games athletes.

Dan Abrahams is a global sport psychologist with some of the leading turnarounds in Premiership history and a global bestselling book. Dan is a former professional golfer and coach turned sport psychologist specialising in 2 sports: golf and football. In golf he is Lead Psychologist for England Golf. In football he is a leader in the field.
He has delivered to more than a dozen league clubs, to the English Football Association, the British Professional Footballers’ Association, the English League Managers Association, the League Football Education, the Scottish FA and the League Football Trust. He has held contracts at several Premiership clubs and is sought after by managers across Europe. He has spoken at some of the world’s leading football conferences and has appeared on numerous radio and television segments providing expert comment, and was a studio guest on The Footballers’ Football Show in December 2012.
Dan is most well known for his work in helping several players turn around their careers. For example, he helped Carlton Cole go from forgotten reserve team player to England international in just 18 months. He also helped Anthony Stokes go from just 4 goals in a season and a half to 6 goals in a month, 23 goals in a season and a million pound move to Celtic.
His books have achieved global bestsellers, with his first book, Soccer Tough currently the leading selling soccer coaching book in America.
His passion is to de-mystify football psychology for footballers at every level of the game. His workshops are fun, positive, upbeat and help all footballers develop their mindsets no matter their ability.
Dan will be sharing with delegates some of the philosophies, tools and techniques he worked on with Carlton Cole and Anthony Stokes. He will explain some of the specific challenges they faced, and how players and coaches can help all footballers overcome the roadblocks both players faced.
Dr Niall MacFarlane
Dr Niall MacFarlane runs the sports science degree programme at Glasgow University. He has been a teacher and researcher for over 25 years and has provided sports science support to elite athletes and professional sports teams for much of that time. His current research is focused on performance analysis and monitoring in team sports and he will be talking about the use of GPS and inertial sensor technology in competition and training.
Annette qualified with a BSc(Hons) Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 followed by a PGDip in Osteopathic Sports Medicine, membership of the British Medical Acupuncture Society and certification as an FMS Expert. She works full time in private practice, with a special interest in sports and in particular young sportspeople and injury prevention, and diagnosis of biomechanical issues behind recurrent injury. Annette’s patients range from professional and elite athletes to school and amateur sports enthusiasts, including professional footballers and athletes preparing for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. She is also a peer reviewer for the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, as well as engaging in clinical mentoring work.
